Today I Went to Our Band's Practice

our second ever. sadly, two of the members were not able to attend... but atleast me and the drummer (...the drummer and i?) could practice helena — our Grand Opening Song together —, and it was nice! i was scared of not being able to keep with the tempo, but it went great. he's a beaast on those drums and i did pretty well myself :> i just need to focus on some details and transitions but other than that, we're ready to shake this small town from its boots (okay, maybe not yet, but we'll get there soon).
the vocalist was there too — it's his house after all — and he helped me finish setting up some sick programs on my laptop. some kind of virtual "audio interface" with a million different pedals, amps, and effects all at hand. technology can be amazing.

talking about the band itself now... the vocalist was the one that got us all together. he personally invited each one of us. i didn't accepted the proposal at first; i was aprehensive because:

1. if i pass my exams, i'll be leaving the town next year for uni;
2. i can barely keep up with my current routine

but what the hell??? being in a highschool band was one of by biggest, most distant dreams, and the opportunity was right there at my face.
i don't mean to sound irresponsible! i did consider a lot before accepting it. at least for the moment being, i believe i can do this.
